Aggressive Defense Representation
Effective DWI defense demands a unique understanding of not only the law, but also the science and studies behind field and chemical testing. I am Jeff Eastman, an experienced criminal law attorney focusing on the defense of people charged with alcohol-related driving crimes.
My practice started when I had the privilege of representing a commercial truck driver charged with DUI. His case changed my career direction, spurring a lifelong ambition to learn more about the facts and fiction concerning DWI/DUI charges.
I have traveled throughout the United States in an effort to gain a better understanding of impairment-related traffic offenses, the law, the science, the facts, the fiction and the legal strategies involved in defending impairment-related traffic crimes. To that end, I became a founding member of the National College for DUI Defense. I continue to deepen my knowledge through advance training and teaching.
My qualifications include:
- Completing the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's Standardized Field Sobriety Training Course and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Field Sobriety Training Instructor's Course
- Attending a three-day course concentrating on the operation, maintenance and science behind the Intoxilyzer Model 5000 (Breathalyzer)
- Personal owner of an Intoxilyzer Model 5000, the breath testing unit used by many municipalities throughout the State of Missouri.
- Completing National Patent's Datamaster Training Course in Mansfield, Ohio, a course often required of Breathalyzer maintenance technicians and instructors frequently called by the state as experts at trial.
I have been named a Missouri and Kansas Super Lawyer each year for the last seven years, one of a select group of lawyers to have been so recognized by their peers.
A conviction or finding of guilt for drunk driving doesn't end when you leave court or finish probation; it will follow you for the rest of your life. If you value your career and lifestyle, you should obtain representation by an aggressive and determined Missouri DWI/DUI attorney.
