A Missouri Administrative License Suspensions Lawyer

A Kansas City Attorney Representing Individuals Threatened with License Suspension or Revocation for DUI

After a DWI/DUI arrest, you face two legal hurdles — a criminal charge and a separate civil license sanction. The legal issues in DWI cases are complex.  You should never leave your fate in the hands of the judge, prosecutor, or an attorney not experienced in this area of law. You need vigorous legal representation as soon as possible to protect all of your rights and privileges.

I am Jeff Eastman. I am a defense attorney who has defended people accused of DWI/DUI for more than 20 years. I understand the many defenses available in DWI cases, and I will fight for your rights and freedom.

Contact me today for a consultation about a DWI/DUI case.

After your are arrested you have an extremely short period of time to act to protect your rights, perhaps as few as 15 days from the date of your DWI arrest.  If you fail to act, you maybe forever precluded from challenging the loss of your license or privilege.

Protecting Your Driver's License

My firm can represent you in the DOR administrative hearing, as well as the criminal proceeding. When possible, I try to prevent the suspension or revocation of your driver's license or privilege. If you are qualified, I will assist you in obtaining a limited or hardship driving privilege

Driver's License Suspensions

Like the penalties which follow from a DWI conviction or finding of guilty, license sanctions can and do increase with the severity of the offense and the frequency of occurrence:

  • First-time conviction for DWI - 30-day revocation, 60-day suspension, able to apply for reinstatement after 90 days
  • Second DUI conviction within five years of the first conviction — one-year revocation and no eligibility for a limited or hardship license
  • Refusal to take a breath, blood or urine test — one-year revocation
  • First-time underage driver — 90-day license suspension

If your license has been suspended, I can help you reinstate your driver's license.

Fines and penalties, including the loss of your driver's license or privilege, can threaten your career and lifestyle. You owe it to yourself to obtain aggressive legal representation. Get legal help today.
